Master plan for the Padborg business area
In 2021, Aabenraa Municipality, in collaboration with the Padborg Business Area, developed a master plan aimed at ensuring a shared ambition and development for the area.
The foundation of the master plan is based on green and digital development, which we at Padborg Transport Center support.
We incorporate both green and digital transformation into our daily work in several ways. Among other things, we are behind Denmark’s first gas filling station, where in the long term we will be able to use biogas as fuel for trucks.
At the same time, we are ensuring a better internal communication platform for our truck drivers through our new 5G project, which will improve the overall opportunities for collaboration among our member companies.
We do this because we want to be an inspiration to other transport companies and businesses. We are happy to lead the way – because we can.
Local plans
In August 2019, Aabenraa City Council adopted a new and more up-to-date local plan for Padborg East. The requirements of the Padborg Transport Center Association were taken into account, resulting in very favourable conditions for businesses in Padborg. Here are just a few of the new and rather unique opportunities:
- Building density of up to 75%
- Building height: 32 metres.
- Permission to construct hotels and hotel-like facilities for drivers.
New local plan for Padborg West
Work on a new and more up-to-date local plan for Padborg West has begun and is expected to be completed by the end of 2023. You can find the current local plans for Padborg West here:
