When the border between Denmark and Germany was established in 1920, it quickly created the fertile ground for a transport industry centered around the new border station.
It was here that the transport of international goods by rail really took off. The railway was thus the most important form of freight transport between Denmark and Germany until the 1950s.
The first export trucking companies were established in the towns around the border, and truck transport quickly became an indispensable supplement to the railway.
Padborg Transportcenter has been with us all the way and continues to develop in step with the globalization of the Danish economy and trade – and we will of course continue to do so in the future.
We want to contribute to the green transition in the transport industry. That is why we take responsibility by providing solutions and opportunities at Padborg Transport Center that will show the way for others.
