Study tour 2022
This year, 21 students and apprentices from various companies in Padborg Transport Center went on a study trip to the Port of Aarhus.
Here they were given a tour by Jesper Skatka from the Port of Aarhus, who told them about the many activities in Denmark’s largest commercial port. Students gained insight into how important the port is for logistics in Denmark.
We also saw several Padborg companies’ trucks loading and unloading in the harbor.
Afterwards it was time for students and apprentices to get to know each other better. That is why an action-packed afternoon was arranged at Aarhus SeaRangers. We sailed at 80 km/h in RIB boats to Norsminde where a camp had been set up for us in “Æblelunden”
Here the students were allowed to find their inner Viking with axe throwing and longbow shooting before satisfying their hunger with Viking stew made over a campfire. The trip back with the RIBs was very quick and the students got a little wet from the many maneuvers and jumping on the waves.
Study tour 2021
In 2021, we went to LINAK where we got a tour and an insight into how production and logistics are automated. Afterwards, we went to Steigenberger Alsik Hotel & Spa where Janne No Nielsen from DANSK HR gave an inspiring presentation to the students about the use of networks and LinkedIn.
The evening ended with a lovely 2-course menu where the students networked across the companies.
